About Me

My name is Eric Asante, I'm 29 years old. I come from Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana. I'm the third out of five children of my parents. I attended basic school at Atonsu junior high school, where I completed with good grades. The good aggregate I had in my junior high school education warranted me to enter senior high school, Bompeh senior high school in Takoradi, the capital city of western region. I read agricultural science at senior high school. After my high school education, I enter the Takoradi Technical university to pursue HND in Agriculture Science, in 2010, I decided to practically utilize the agricultural skills acquired, so I started farming. Now, I can boast of a 6 acres of plantain plantation and an acre of cocoa plantation. I have also attained a diploma in banking and finance, which I acquired at the same university in 2014. I have also opened up a microfinance firm where I have two workers running the business on my behalf.
My hobby is playing cards and football. I live on the income from my harvested produce and the profit from the microfinance business.

My Business

My main business is farming, it has been my work ever since I left high school. I produce crops such as plantain and cocoa.
I have 6 acres of plantain farm and 1 acre of cocoa. These farms give me income which I use to take care of my family and also use some to improve upon the farm work. Currently, the government of Ghana has realised that farming is one of the key to nation development so there has been more attention o farmers welfare. I have the vision of becoming the best farmer in Ghana and in the world as a whole. Aside farming, I also run a microfinance business where people's money have been saved and invested in other businesses to gain profit.

Loan Proposal

I'm a farmer and a microfinance business man, I would like to take a loan from zidisha to boost up my microfinance business. I would like to also loan out the money I take from zidisha at an interest of 35% , since zidisha charges 5% service fee I will be getting 30% profit on the money I loan out and that will be used to repay the loan back to zidisha or I will invest the money into businesses to also generate more profit and repay the loan.
