About Me

My name is Philip Quartey and i live at Mamprobi in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. I am the Third born of four children of Mr. Ebenezer Quartey and Ms Lucy Quaye. I started my elementary school in Accra at John Wesley Primary and later continue at Rev. Thomas Birch Freeman Junior High School were I obtained my B.E.C.E Certificate and continued with Presbyterian Senior High School Osu. I went on with my education to pursue Professional Diploma in System Engineering at Centre of Professional Development in Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA – CIPD). Whiles pursuing my Professional Diploma I started working with Hollyville Venture a printing press on GIMPA main campus for about (2) two years. After graduating from the university, I started a sole proprietorship business which i managed sustainably due to job unavailability. Currently i am into printing, editing, designing and binding of student project works and assignment at Gimpa City Campus Accra Central.
My interests are teaching, designing, watching and playing football as well as reading.

My Business

I started this business immediately after my university education in 2012. This business was solely about printing, binging, typing and editing of student project work and thesis on campus. I went into this business due to my dreams of opening a bigger printing press in the centre of the city and also an interest in satisfying student needs of acquiring their master’s degree and other relevant qualification without much problems . I now own a small shop where i have my small printer and a desktop and a personal laptop. i have an attendant who sees to it that all customers are served well when they come to print. Please since the business is expanding gradually, i really want to go in for coloured photocopiers, a scanner and a digital camera for passport size photographs and about two to three desktops to enable to me meet customers need whenever they visit my shop. I also want to own shops in other areas where i can render same business to the general public and even with that I am planning of servicing of computer and laptops ie. Installations of software programs, formatting and hardware. I need about $7000 to enable me attain the level which i want to take this business and am pleading with the Zidisha lenders to help me with loan to get all the necessary materials that will make my work encouraging and also serve my customers better.

Loan Proposal

The business was very lucrative for me but was on a very low scale and honestly speaking the patronage has been awesome especially when school resumes and when its around revision weeks.
