i am dolphine ombati, married to jose onkoba. i schooled at kisii university, diploma in business administration. i completed the study by 2013 and started my own business. my family consists of one young child called stephen. i started my business due to i could not be able to acquire a job readily after campus and i needed to take care of my child, who is now nine months old. the profit i make from my business i use it to expand my business following the plough back principle and to cater for my household spendings. we and my dad in law we live in kisii town , milimani estate. besides my shop i have realised that if i buy motor bikes to transport people here in kenya at my home it will be a hotcake business.
i run a retail shop, that sells household goods, and a grocery. the shop is known as "mama shop" to imply motherly shop. it is named motherly shop because i render services i a motherly way and most goods are grocery and household goods. there is a high demand of my goods because it is the only shop in that locality, kisii-milimani estate, that offers goods in a friendly price. my customers profer shopping at my shop, because of fair price, too i am friendly and can lend in a credit to trusted customers. my business is profitable because of high selling rate of the goods. the risks i incur is the bad debts i create once in a while. my typical costs in a month include:
1. rent us dollar 28.34
2. transport cost us dollar6.8
3. communication us dollar 4.4
4. drawings us dollar 34.0097
sales revenue in a month us dollar 566.829
5. profit us dollar 102.29
on addition i want to venture into the MOTOR BIKE TRANSPORTING INDUSTRY, here in kenya since many of the people are of low class and cannot afford to buy personal cars. i have already down paid for a motor bike worth us dollar 670, my downpayment was us dollar 300.
i intend to borrow us dollar 48.12 for stock purchase increase to my shop. i will specifically purchase unga ngano product that is missing in my stock that will accrue some profit. i will again introduce ciggarratte that has a high demand on my business location. if i get this products through your loan i will be grateful and will a ttra ct many more customers to my business.
