About Me

My name is Emmanuel Onyango son of Okumu.I was born Migori County in 1981 being the twelve child of Salome Aoko and Andrew Okumu.I began education life when I was about 7 years old and had gone to a nursery school as a beginner but 2 weeks later, teachers felt that my age was above the class and I was promoted to class 1 because my right arm could successfully cross and touch the other opposite ear at the left side. They weren't wrong since I began performing well and was even appointed the class prefect and later became the school head boy in 1994 when I was in class eight.I sat for KCPE and did very well but could not get the school fees to secondary school and this led to staying at home for 2 years and taking care of my parent's livestock and later joined Nyamagwa boys in kisii county.I sat for k.c.s.e in 2000 and got grade B- and later joined mombasa polytechnic for Diploma in accountancy then I got married to Mary Akinyi in 2006 and later went to University of Nairobi for B.Com(accounting )and graduated in Dec.2013
I came to start my business to prevent the revenue problems that I had before joining high school because it was from the sale of livestock that I was able to continue with education.And through the mentorship from my cultural background that life without livestock is incomplete,I was not to be left behind.My Children have exactly copied the same.

My Business

My business basically deals with buying, rearing and selling of Sheep and Goats respectively. As briefly mentioned partly in my profile above, I started having passion for the same in my early age when my father used to rear them. I could occasionally accompany him to go and look after his flock of about 600 Sheep and goats respectively.
I am so passionate about these great animals because they are in very high demand. the main reason is that they are the ones used during ceremonies like funerals and sanctification/cleansing of homesteads and families during calamities like droughts, famine, and even earthquakes tho very minimal in my community.Its believed in my community that Sheep is the most holy animal from the Biblical background.
Because of the high demand and the nature of demand of these great animals, One sheep goats at around 4000Kes. and when in peak times, it can sometimes surplus the normal price up to 10,000Kes. so you can see that is a very great profit that I can make if I venture into such a business.
When I do my businesses, I use my profits to add stock of the flock, I also pay school fees for my two children who study in a high profile academies in the City.

Loan Proposal

Dear Lenders, I believe have already exploited and clearly explained the nature of my business. As mentioned above therefore, all these money that am set to raise here through Zidisha will be put in good use.to buy two good hybrid sheep for rearing and resale. Here is how;
One sheep 50 Dollars x 2
don't worry about the remainder, I will add it from my earnings because I know at the end am gonna make a huge profit to repay my highly anticipated loan. Kind regards
