About Me

My name is George, i am living in Juja Town. My home village is Ibacho in Kisii County. I have studied till form four and currently work with BABS Security in Thika. I am also keeping chicken to supplement my income. I have 20 chicken which lay eggs of which i sell to get money. The money is spent to buy the chicken food. This is the greatest expenditure. Any other money which remain, I save because i intend to go to college soon. i am an honest person and therefore will be trusted with a loan.

My Business

My name is George Matoke. I am currently working with BABS Security in Thika Town. Other than my regular work, I have ventured into Agribusiness. I am keeping chicken so that I can supply eggs to the town residents in Juja. Right now I have 20 egg layers and I can therefore collect about 4 to 6 crates a week. I sell the eggs directly at $3.5 a crate either to hotels or to people who cook them at their homes. Am doing fine and proceeds from this business supplement my income. There is a huge potential for growth but my only limitation is extra finances. If I got a loan right now, I will build a bigger poultry house and add more chicken. This will see me get more eggs to feed our people besides increasing my income from this business.

Loan Proposal

I am into agribusiness specifically poultry farming. Right now, I am keeping 20 layers. With these chickens, I am able to collect on average 5 crates of eggs which I sell at $3.5 to my customers. I can therefore get about $ $17 each week as extra income. I have seen a great business here because if I expanded, I will keep more poultry and therefore increase my earning potential. When I heard about Zidisha, I liked the idea. I know that I will get support to improve this business.
My first loan application of $150 will go towards building a bigger poultry house and if money remains, add more chicken. Please consider my application.
