About Me

I am married with four children.

I was born and brought up in Kirinyaga County, while my spouse grew up the neighbouring Embu County.

Two of my children are in secondary school, while the eldest is preparing to join college.

My husband and I have raised and educated them through small businesses.

Currently I am involved in buying and reselling chicken.

My Business

I have for the last seven months been involved in buying and reselling live chicken.

I discovered the opportunity a year ago, after I relocated residence from Wangige, Kiambu County, to my current location on realizing that the same chicken which sell at $ 4 in Wangige, retails at $ 5 in Kitengela, earning me $ 1 per one.

I currently trade in 20 chicken per trip, which leave me approx. $ 15, after factoring in transportation costs.

I wish to double my stocks to take advantage of increased demand, as well as earn a higher profit margin, since transportation cost will remain relatively the same.

Loan Proposal

I request for a $ 200 loan

Three of my chicken recently hatched 26 chicks and I need to build a coop to accommodate the new chicks as well as buy feeds for them.

Chicken coop construction will cost approx. $120, while I will use $80 to buy chicken feeds.

This will help me greatly as I will eventually not have to buy chicken stocks, and may eventually be able to sell my current competitors their stocks.
