About Me

I am the second born in a family of three children, I went to asinge orimary school and mambele secondary school and eldoret polytechnic, but dropped out of the polytechnic due to lack of fees. When I come back home life was very difficult,I did some manual jobs as a farm hand in the neighbors farm ,the neighbor, used to pay ,me with chicken instead of money. At first I could sell the chicken immediately to get money but one day when I lacked the market ,i decide to keep the three chicken I had, they soon started laying eggs and after brooding with 12 eggs each,I now had 39 chicken,3 hens and 36 chicks,I continued doing manual jobs to get money to feed them.I now have 300 birds and still growing.
I have no kids at the moment ,but I have plans of settling down once my business is well for I do not want to start a family without enough money to cater for our expenses.
my hobbies include watching football, playing football and agri-tours.

My Business

I am a small scale poultry keeper with 306 chicken. I sell eggs and cocks to my clients.
the demand for the good is high because eggs are cheap while chicken provide white meat which most consumers prefer to red meat.
I started these business without actually knowing I was in business but I still do it because of high profits .
my monthly typical costs are $300 per month ,that i spend on feeds, vaccination, lighting and labor and my monthly income is $500 per month. I make an average$200 -$250 in profits.
I use the money to save for business expansion, help buy food for my family and help in paying fees for my niece, whose dad is ill.

Loan Proposal

I am glad and very thankful.I hope you all are doing fine.My business is well and I am looking forward to add 20 more improved indigenous hens that are disease resistant and layer more eggs for breeding. I would then hutch the eggs in the incubator and sell them to farmers since the demand is high.
