About Me

My name is Everlyene Juma a resident of Nairobi, westlands area. I schooled at Hill school Primary School in Pangani and went to Buruburu girls high school. After school i never thought of going to the university because i found it time consuming to study for 4 years. I enrolled in a catering college where i learnt for 4 months and was equipped with all the knowledge that i ever wanted. I got the cattering skill and knowledge which enabled me to open a fast food selling stand in Westland market. I sell fresh juice well blended and all kinds of fruits to customers from around our area.
I have faced so many challenges as i tried to get my business going like for example before i bought a refrigerator, my fruits used to go bad occasionally and thus i could not make much profit the way i expected but with the refrigerator i can now store my fruits and keep them fresh .
The most unique thing about where i live is that a lot of people prefer taking pudding and fresh blended juice as opposed to Soda and other chemically prepared drinks. This has greatly helped me sell my products more easily and win more customers.
I have a girl though i am a single mother. I educate the girl all alone with little money that i get in m y business. She dreams of becoming better than her mother when she grows up. She always says that she would like to became a nurse when she grows up.

My Business

I sell fresh blended juice to people, fruits and some fresh spices like tomatoes, garlic, onions and other food stuffs.The goods that i offers are very useful because they make our food sweet and also the build us with nutrients. They are on very high demand because most people as earlier on mention in our area prefer taking fresh fruits as opposed to taking chemically prepared drinks. This has greatly helped me win more customers and thus making more profits.
I chose this business because in our area nobody had thought of selling fresh juice to people and thus i found it as a vacant opportunity since other business had been exhausted. I used KES 20,000 to open and run the business which is equivalent to 200 Us dollars.
I plan to use the profit generated to buy a bigger blending machine which goes for 50 Us dollars, the blender is big enough to prepare juice for a population of 100 people. This will help me make more juice and serve my customers well at any given time without exhausting the juice.
I will also dedicate some part of the profit to aide in educating my little girl who is in class 3 at the moment.

Loan Proposal

Granted 10 Us dollars, i will top it up with my personal savings of 40 Us dollars and and buy a bigger blending machine at a cost of 50 Us dollars.
I will benefit by making more profit because the scale of my customers will have increased by a greater margin. On the other hand my customers will never lack juice at any one time because it will be readily available in large quantities.
i expect to generate a profit of 100 Us dollars per day from the sale of my products together with the freshly prepared juice
