About Me

I am Rashid Robert aged 21 years old born in a family of nine.My parents could not afford schoolfees for all of us so i could not join college but i am working really hard so that i will one day pay college fees for myself as i desire so much to further my education.I live in Thika. I started my shop in the year 2013 after completing my highschool.I use my profits from my business to pay my bills and save some to pay for my school fees when I go to college.

My Business

I own a shop at Thika section a next to total petrol station and near where I live. The place is ideal for a shop since there are many residential houses and very few shops therefore we have not been able to meet demand. The business generates between usd 200 to usd 250 per month which I use it to stock my business and pay my bills. Zidisha loan will help me increase my stock so that I can meet market demand, pay for my college fees and open more branches in future, employ more people therefore benefiting my community as well.

Loan Proposal

My previous loans were very helpful to me thus my shop has shown tremendous growth.I would however like to do more by purchasing a fridge to help me store products such as milk and other perishable goods. This will help me provide my customers with fresh goods always.
If funded i will add 110 dollars from my small savings and buy a fridge worth 290 dollars.Am therefore asking for your assistance to help make this possible.I will much appreciate

I am happy to say i received ksh.18000 that i used to increase stock of the new products i recently introduced to my shop.I am very confident that they will move really fast as no other shop around sells similar products.I will work really hard and with my increased profits i will ensure i pay my loan as soon as possible.I would like to thank zidisha and the lenders for the loan and i promise to keep you updated on the progress of the business.

with my previous loan i introduced some new products in my shop e.g perfumes and lotion but in small quantities, having been funded this time i will use the money to increase stock of these products since there is a high demand for them. This will ensure that i do not run out of stock.

The previous loan helped me to introduce some new commodities in my shop and this increased the profit margin. The profits have been very useful to me,i had been previously experiencing some financial difficulties but now my business has relatively stabilised.

Thanks again to Zidisha team and my lender jt.i have been very busy working at the shop as i have not yet employed a worker to help me.i have not yet taken new pictures of my shop as i am planning to take pictures of the local scene to make it intresting and so that you can see the beautiful scenery of thika.we are surrounded by good natural sites e.g the 14 falls and other many smaller falls and that makes the area very beutiful, and its also very productive especially in pineaples. The famous delmonte pineapple farm is actually close to my business area and i promise to take pictures there.

Robert, it's just great that you are succeeding enough to pay off your loan earlier! That is a great start to your business and your borrowing through Zidisha. It establishes a good track record and now you will be able to borrow more as needed to further grow your business. Congratulations.

I would enjoy seeing a picture of the shop or a local scene if you can post it. I checked out Thika on google earth - famous for pineapples I see!

    Best wishes again.
