About Me

I am Yuvenalis Mogire. I went to school at Sengera; although I had struggles with life working in our shamba and grazing livestock, I managed to finish O levels. Later I did a certificate in business administration in St. Ann College in Kisii town. After school, I secured a job with the municipal council, from which I managed to save money to start my business. I have three kids whom I am schooling and supporting fully.

My Business

After saving, I bought three-week chicks that I personally reared and I liked the idea. After my first sales, I started to rear indigenous chickens (Kienyeji chickens) which I sell to nearby hotels. I opted to raise Kienyeji chickens because of the harsh cold weather here; the indigenous chickens adapt well to the weather. I also sell eggs. I make a profit of USD $1,200 per month, which I use to feed my family and pay school fees for the children.

Loan Proposal

I could like to purchase drugs for my chicken that are now at risky due to outbreaks of diseases that have come about due to the rainy season. Having lost two chicks this week I have been advised to purchase the drugs that I will be giving them daily in their feeds/water. Hope this will help until the cold season goes. I expect to have more production thus improved earnings. This will subsidise my earnings and help in taking care of my family and paying my bills and also boost me in my expansion plans.
Thank you
