Aidoo is my name. all my schooling from Primary to Senior high School was done by my uncle. My dad passed away when I was young and I was lucky this my uncle was alive and promised my mum he will take charge. Indeed I m what I m today because of him. He opened a drug store shop handed it over to me to handle for about three years he handed over to me to fend myself. Therefore, the drugs I sell now are for me to manage.
I sell various drugs like paracetamol, plasters, spirits, blood tonic and many more. These drugs help my community in several ways, first it serves as first aid and secondly, it provides the opportunity for patients whose prescribed drusg are not covered by the national health insurance scheme to get access to them in my shop. I initially had interest in studying medicine at the tertially level but due to my father's death I could not accomplish that dream. In effect I decided to deal in drugs as a substitute. I make sales of about ghc200 a day and more on Tuesdays which happens to be a market day in Dormaa Ahenkro. I use part of the profit I make to pay for my wards school fees. Part to feed the family and the remainder is reinested in the business.
I will buy pain killers like paracetamol costing $25,plasters costing $23.spirits at a cost of $12, blood tonics costing $18.
