My name is Oppong Isaac. I began life in a small village called Aboabo number 4. I completed in a school called Temple of Praise school. Later my parents came to stay in Dormaa Ahenkro. I had the opportunity to go to Dormaa senior high and completed successfully. I wanted to do medicine at the university but my grade did not permit me. The university requires aggregate 6 but I had aggregate 9. I asked my parents to open a drug store for me because that is the only area my interest was. In fact they didn't hesitate and furnished me with a nice building where I would sell my drugs. So life began hear.
I sell various drugs like paracetamol, plasters, spirits, blood tonic and many more. These drugs help my community in several ways, first it serves as first aid and secondly, it provides the opportunity for patients whose prescribed drusg are not covered by the national health insurance scheme to get access to them in my shop. I initially had interest in studying medicine at the tertially level but due to my father's death I could not accomplish that dream. In effect I decided to deal in drugs as a substitute. I make sales of about ghc200 a day and more on Tuesdays which happens to be a market day in Dormaa Ahenkro. I use part of the profit I make to pay for my wards school fees. Part to feed the family and the remainder is reinested in the business.
Drugs of different categories can be obtained from my shop. Malaria drugs, antibiotics, pain killers, plaster and spirits for dressing wounds. I intend to buy pain killers like paracetamol $8, blood tonics like Virol $12, spirit for dressing wounds $10, I will also buy some antibiotics $13.
