About Me

i grew up in kakamega county ,went to mukumu girls primary school and then mukumu secondary school, after secondary education I joined Ashley Beauty School where I studied hairdressing. I got married in siaya county , my husband was working for Kenya defense forces and and was killed in Somalia last April. After sudden demise of my husband ,at my tender age with no jobs and kids to feeds,I knew life was going to be difficult. My husbands parents helped me raise $1000 that used to buy equipments and rent a shop in siaya town. as fate will have it,the shop was broken into and everything stolen. I passed out when i reached the seen. with no other source of capital ,I struggled with my shop and did basic hair dressing. I soon started buying new equipments, the business picked up well.
I come from siaya county, the home to the American president Barrack Obama. My children want to be doctors when they grow up.
I am an athlete ,I love running so much.it keeps me fit and is the best way to unwind after long day.

My Business

I run a salon in siaya town,my business has grown steadily over time and keeps growing. I hope it will be the most preferred saloon in future. My services include, hairdressing, shampooing, hair coloring and hair cutting. I also offer manicure and pedicure.
My main clients are men though a few men visit me occasionally.women love beauty and will always want to keep with the latest trends and products and that keeps me in business.
I choose these business because I have always liked beauty since I was young.I feel inspired when working in a saloon.
my revenues are $400 in a month. I use $180 to cater for rent ,water ,electricity and pay my two assistants. I use my income to pay school fees for my two chilren and cater for general family expenses

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders, for the past 8 months I have inured huge electricity bill because I share electricity meter with two other shops who are heavy users. My landlord has been adamant to separate the meters instead advising us to live the premises or buy our own meters. The premise is strategically placed and I am not willing to leave .I have opted to buy my own electricity meter to stop incurring these huge losses. It will cost me $200 to buy and fix the meter and I would really appreciate your support so that i can fix it soonest. Thank you for reading my request and supporting me.
