About Me

My childhood life was awesome and as parents was farmers and kept some a few cattle. I was born and brought up in a rural set up in the eastern parts of my country Kenya. I was taken to school and went through both primary and secondary school. All this time I used to help my parents with domestic activities and rearing cattle.
I am a first born of six children and all of my other siblings are ladies. My parents are old and unproductive. I was taken to a technical institute where i graduated with a degree in business management. My effort to secure a job both with the government and the private sector was less successful so my parent gave me a go ahead to be managing and own a farm back home where we grow both the cash crop and food crops as well a keeping livestock.
I was given my small portion of land with cash crop which is Tea and land for cultivating other food crops. This is how I came to start my own business and overcame the hardship of unemployment and poverty.
What is unique about the land i stay is that people always contribute a kitty to help one another in case if emergency and special need.
My children would like to be educated and get the skills to be entrepreneurs in their life.
My unique hobby that I have is helping people in my community on how to avoid and end domestic violence and child abuse. I am also a fan of watching football.
Thank you.

My Business

Usually my business of farming offers products or goods ranging from cash crops like Tea and food crops like a maize,Potatoes,Beans and Bananas among others.
These goods are always in the demand because they are food crops that everyone need to live. We eat to live!
I choose this business because I am well experienced in the same line while working for my parent farm and I liked the return on the investment. Besides giving me money, i love farming since i am learned on management of business.
My typical costs are usually the cost of inputs from seed, fertilizer, chemicals pesticides and labor among others.
I use the profit i get to buy these inputs and meeting my personal expenses while helping my old parents.
Thank you

Loan Proposal

Well, when I get my first loan I will buy Fertilizer for Tea, maize and potatoes at a cost of $59.00
I will also buy pesticides for potatoes at a cost of $16.00 and Chemicals at $15.00
On the list still will be Gumboots for safety and protection a t a cost of @8.00
The benefits is that I will be ready for planting during the onset of this season and I will not waste time or get delayed due to lack of money to buy inputs.
I expect my profit to shoot from the usual USD300.00 to 400.00 per month.
This will be very possible as i will now combine the profit of both the cash crop and the food crops.
I will be very happy for this and will thank Zidisha and you Lenders.
Thank you.
