About Me

I am Margret Anyango, a widowed lady and mother of five and a grandmother of one, three daughters and two sons and grandson. I do not have much education beyond primary level because my father discriminated girls from going to school and he only educated his sons something that is hurting me to date simply because my husband used to abuse me that I am not educated.

Despite my limited education, I have tried my hands in grains business nad it has done very well all over the years. I am gifted with wisdom of saving to grow the business, though lack of capital has thwarted my efforts to grow the business better. I am a christian but I love humanity.

I am a mother to many many children and a helper to widows in my community, I do counsel with them and advise them to start small income generating activities that could help them avoid irresponsible behaviors leading to sex and contraction of HIV/AIDS among other sexually transmitted disease that has threatened survival of future generations of Africa. living with my brother's children ,they are orphans and were left in my hands.

My Business

I am in the business of cereal buying and selling. My products are maize grains, beans and millet but my main product that I buy and sell in bulk is maize followed by beans. During harvesting seasonIalways stock maize of upto $ 400 and beans $200. I stock these products during harvesting season because during this period farmers do sell them at throw away price then treat to preserve and store for two to three months and sell when the price had increased by 70% giving a profit of almost 60%.
My business is much profitable but we have only one challenge which lack of enough capital and timing, meaning during harvesting you should have enough money to do purchase. If i get Zidisha loan i hope this challenge will be resolved and I will strive to repay the loan early enough me take more loans from ZIDISHA lenders..

Loan Proposal

I thank you so much Zidisha for accepting my application. The loan i am going to get i will use it as follows:-

At the moment the price of maize is down because farmers have just harvested their produce. 2 kgs tin(gorogoro) is Ksh 55 and in one month time it will increase to Ksh 80. I will use $ 100 to purchase 180 tins (gorogoro)of 2kg each which is equivalent to 3 sacks of 90 kgs each. Each tin I will be making a profit of Ksh 25.

Another $50 i will use to stock beans. Currently one tin(gorogoro) goes at $1, so i will buy fifty tins that will cost me $50.Next month people will be planting so the price of bean will double. So people are likely to buy from the market at $2 or $2.50. Here i will be making a profit of around $60.

This loan will improve my life because the profit i will get, my children and grandchild will have something to eat and go to school too as I repay the loan in time as agreed upon.Thank you

    Dear Zidisha Team,

I have spoken to Margaret Anyango about her laon, she says she is sorry and she will make her payments by Monday. I have told her its better to be on time payment by paying the little she can instead of paying late. So I requested her to adjust her loan, and she says she must have someone who will guide her at the cyber that I give more time to look also for this person.
