About Me

I am Hillary Ouma, 29 years old, a Kenyan citizen permanently residing in Mbita township of western part of Kenya.

I was born and raised up in a rural village of Usare in Mbita, Kenya. My early life was very hard but with encouragement and right associations, I managed to overcome and did well in school though did not continue with my education past high school.

I am a hardworking and honest, I like reading and visiting friends during free time. I do also participate in community development nad grassroot organizing events.

My Business

Upon my graduation from high school, I started volunteering in a local community technology center, where I learned basics of computer operations. After mastering enough skills on computer operations, I borrowed a small capital of US$ 200 from a friend that enabled me to purchase one desktop computer in order to start a small computer bureau. To date the bureau has grown and I have 5 desktop computers that I am using to train out of school youths in computer applications. The bureau serves as an after-school hours learning center for school going children age 6-13 years.

In my business i do all computer services like; typing, photocopying, scanning, document editing and e-mailing.

I have expanded the business and right now I stock of photocopying papers and stationery that serves to bring more clients to my business. Mbita is an emerging market and the demand for computer services is huge, I intend to reach more clients and offer competitive and quality cutting age services in information technology.

Loan Proposal

I am seeking a loan of KES 9,134 to be used as follows;
-Buy Safaricom Internet Connection Modem at KES 2,900
-Buy Universal Router/Hub at KES 2,500
-Buy 3 USB Wireless Cards at KES 1,200 each x 3 = 3,600

Mbita is an emerging market and the demand for computer services is huge, I intend to reach more clients and offer competitive and quality cutting age services in information technology. ZIDISHA loan will enable me to achieve my desire. The 1st ZIDISHA the loan will enable me to expand my business and increase my sales. Increased profit will be used to repay the loan and the 2nd and subsequent loans will be used to expand the business rapidly.

I have realized that internet is in great demand in Mbita town, my business is located next to a public hospital, a primary school and Local Authority Offices. The Kenyan Government has promoted ICT and I look forward to serving all kinds of people who will visit my cybercafe to download forms, print and connect with friends online. I am optimistic and will repay the loan on time.
