About Me

I am Francis Odhiambo, I am the 3rd born in a family of 7. My father is a peasant farmer and my mother is involved is small scale trading of fish. I got both my primary and secondary education in public schools and upon completion of my high school, I did not have money to proceed to college for professional training and I opted to undertake metal work training through artisanship.

I am married and God has blessed our marriage with 5 children of whom the 1st born is in her 1st year in High School. I started my own business in Nyamanga village of Mbita Sub County in 2009 to enable me get money to support my young and growing up family. The business has been doing so well and it has enabled me to progress family-wise.

In my free time, I do participate in community building forums that I am serving as the Secretary. My hobbies are traveling & listening to music.

My Business

I am operating a metalwork shop. My business deals with metals works e.g; production of metal windows, doors, gates, chairs, Desks and beds. I serve local schools and individual clients involved in construction work.

The business is marketable as so many buildings are coming up inMbita Sub County as the town is expanding, through this business I can be able to repay the loan while I feed my family and educate my children.

Loan Proposal

I am seeking a loan of KES 9,952 to enable me buy assorted metals, welding rods and paints that I am going to use to make 3 metal windows that I am going to sell at a cost of KES 5,200 each and making a profit of KES5,648 per week x 4 weeks = 22,592 per month. This will be a profit increment of 30% and the increased income will be used as follows;
-20% to pay school for my daughter in high school
-10% for food and households needs.

I will repay the in good time as agreed upon and access more flexible and free interest funds from ZIDISHA.
