About Me

l was born into a family 3 siblings (one girl and 2 two boys), my parents were farmers who did their best to educate us with proceeds from the farm. Due to peer pressure, I dropped out from high school in the 3rd form! I therefore got married married, when I was still a teenager, and life has been very hard on me and my family as my husband is unemployed too and I had to do menial jobs to get money to buy food on a daily basis, I managed to raise KES 2,300 and this is the money I used to start my fruits vendor shop.

After starting the business of selling fruits , my business is situated next to a hospital and a few meters away their is also a school and this is an added advantage to me. My hobbies are making new friends and reading inspirational books.

My Business

l own a small fruits vending shop/kiosk next to Mbita District Hospital, this business is strategically located as most of people visiting hospital buy from me fruits, and also students who are from a nearby school do come to my kiosk to buy from me, most of my customers are doctors, nurses, teachers, students and people visiting the hospital.

l normally make between $70 to $100 every month. Most customers like my business because l sell them fresh fruits at affordable prices and give them good services
when you offer me zidisha loan l will be able to increase stock as well as enlarge size of my business.

Loan Proposal

The loan of KES 9,134 will help me to purchase varieties of fruits in the following e.g. mangoes at a cost of $20, pineapple at a cost of $20, avocado at a cost of 10, purchase watermelons at a cost of$10, oranges at a cost of $10, pawpaws at a cost of $10 and bananas at a cost of $10, l will also enlarge my kiosk at a cost of $10, this loan facility will enable me have varieties of fruits to ensure availability and help me expand my business that will enhance my profit margin by atleast 40%. The increased profit will be used to feed my family, pay rent and repay the loan on agreed schedule.
