About Me

I am Teresa Akinyi Obiero, I was born in 1968 and started school in my rural home in Homa Bay and after my primary education, I did not proceed to High School due to lack of school fee. I then moved to Mombasa and Joined an Apprenticeship Tailoring & Dressmaking training and completed my training after 3 years.

After completion of my training, I got married and my husband financed my tailoring & dressmaking shop. This created an avenue of raising surplus income to support our young family. My husband later died after we had just lived for 5 years and he left me with 2 kids.

I am now living alone as a single mother and my children are grown up, my daughter is married and my son has joined College. In my free time, I do join my fellow widows in a peer support group of widows in Mbita Township. I like listening to music.

My Business

My busines is offering the following services; cloth repair, school uniforms and ready made for selling . Clothing is a basic need to everyone and by using my creativity and techniques I come up with the latest and new fashion clothing that satisfy my customers.

My affordable/low prices also is an advantage for me to my extreme clients. I do sometimes supply my already made clothes in wholesale to my extreme clients and they are so happy with the kind of the styles and fashion.

I will use the loan$100 to buy material to produce ready made clothes for supply and also do sell in my retail shop . When am not in a position to purchase materials I do repair on clothes and this also enable me to boost my business I can say I roughly make around $60 Dollars on repair on spoil clothes hence am very sure of repaying back my loan on time.

I will appreciate so much if zidisha give me an opportunity to get this loan.

Loan Proposal

I am seeking a loan of KES 9,130 to enable me purchase new clothing materials for use in producing new school uniforms, ladies attires for sale.

This is a school re-opening season and the school uniforms are in high demand. With this loan of KES 9,130 my profit will increase by 40% and I will be able to repay the loan on time and seek more in order to expand the business.
