About Me

Dear lenders, my name is Rose Nelima. I am a native of Lugari district of Kenya. I was born and raised in this same district being a 2nd born in a family of ten children. seven males and three females. I was born in a community where the girl child is marginalised hence I had to put up with household chores as my brothers went to school. however I was taken by my aunt who gave me a chance to get basic primary school education. Later on after several years with my aunt I was married off but unfortunately my marriage didn't last long as my husband as my beloved husband unfortunately died. mg husbands death left me a widow with three children and I have been working in peoples farms to fend for my children and I. I had managed to save some money from the works I used to do for my neighbours l, I started a chicken farming business which I operate and run until now. I have intelligent children who are at their best in school, one wants to be a banker, another one wants to be a great farmer while my last born insists on being a school teacher.

My Business

My business is a middle scale poultry farming. I rear both broilers and layers in different pens. I also rear local indigenous breeds of chicken. I offer chicken meat and eggs to the local market. my goods are in high demand due to the nutritional needs of my local community, eggs provide them with cheap protein source for their nutritional needs. I chose this kind of business since it required not so much skills to operate and too minimal labour requirements and space and time but high returns. in a single month, my typical costs are upto 50US dollars with a net revenue of upto 200 US dollars. I use the profits realised to cater for running costs, put food on my family's table and also pay for my children's school fees.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders, if i successfully raise the loan, i will inject all the realized moneys into purchasing chick mash @25 US Dollars per bag of 90kg, growers mash @ 23 US Dollars per 90kg sack and poultry-cine supplements for my chicks together with chick start supplements.this will help me t increase my profit margin by 150 US Dollars quarterly by facilitating fast and disease free growth .
