I was born and brought in Meru Mau village in a christian family. My farmer was a peasant farmer and I had a humble beginning in my childhood. I am married with two beautiful daughters, age 12 and . Currently I live in Naivasha where I have established a saloon business run by my wife. I studied in local primary school and managed to get a direct university entry and persued a bachelor of degree Arts and currently I do teach in secondary school.
I started my business three years ago with a seed capital of $ 350 from saving. I used the money to buy second hand saloon equipments and hiring a business room in heart of naivasha town.
My unique thing about the my place live is that we have a cosmopolitan tribes who live peaceful with one another and my place receive enough rainfall by year and practice farming and fishing in Lake Naivasha.
My first born daughter want to be medical doctor and second born want to be an accountant in future.
My unique hobby is training and coaching music in my neighborhood schools and churches all Naivasha town.
I own a saloon in heart of Naivasha town and is operated my wife. I offer all saloon services but in small scale .
This service is useful because it provide job opportunities to jobless youth who come and trained in my saloon and they start their own business, also the service is important because it makes my clients look neat and presentable.
There is high demand of service in my community due to modernization as everybody want to be associated with modern hair style.
I choose the business because there is ready market for the services, population in town is high and wife has trained as a saloonist.
I started the business with seed capital of $350 which I used to rent a business house and bought seconghand saloon equipment to run the business. I do get an average revenue of $150 per month.
The profit I do get I used to pay school for daughters who are studying in middle class academy school, other I do reinvest back to business to expand it and the remain one use for domestic use and saving.
I do take this opportunity to thank you investors, for funding my first loan application . The first loan helped my wife who run the salon to buy 2 brand new blow drier that led to grow of my business and provision of excellent saloon service.God bless you.
I am borrowing a loan of $190 to top up to my saving to expand my business in the following ways.
1. Painting the business premise it look a bit old to attract more customer to the salon estimated cost of $ 40
2. Buying new more plastics chairs for clients to sit at cost of $60.
3. Buying cosmetics and artificial hair $100
The loan will be paid earlier from income generated from business which has pick up and small part of my salary.
Thank you for supporting my saloon business again.
