I grew up in nyamira district in a small town known as Nyamataro within kerema district found in the current Nyamira county. This is where i did all my schooling both primary and secondary education. my father is a tea farmer, and i come from a family of 7 , three brothers and four sisters, so i struggled to gain my education. i managed to complete my secondary education. i later joined a local polytechnic where i did some mechanics. By doing this i was able to raise some monies with which i bought the daily needs of my family such as food clothing and money to educate my daughters
I run a small shop where i sell spare parts . i specialize in selling motorcycle spare parts. i started by reparing motocycles ,but i later opened a shop for spare parts, since i realized that this was easy and its income was a bit stable and i could be more indipendent.
i decided to do this business because, most people use moto cycles where i live, and most times they needed spare-parts and repairs to be done for them.
typical cost for my business is paying rent for the small house that houses my business. i pay for electricity and city council revenues.
the small i get from my business, i save and pay fees for my children, because i want them top have a good future
I normally supply grains to a primary school that is within my neighbourhood. I normally buy rice, maize and beans in sacks of 90 kgs.
One sack of rice costs 60 dollars, maize 40 dollars and beans 65 dollars.
I intend to supply 3 sacks of each to this school when schools open in January for a profit.
Budget- 3 sacks of rice-180 dollars
3 sacks of maize-120 dollars
3 sacks of beans at 210 dollars
Thanks alot.
