I was born in a family of eight children and I am the 5th born. I am now the only surviving child of my late parents. We grew up in a very poor family and my father was a peasant farmer.
My father was a staunch Catholic believer, yet I opted from the family religion to worship in a charismatic, pentecostal Church in which today I am a pastor of Kenya Assemblies of God in Mbita Town of Homa County. I am also engaged in small-scale commercial farming. My farm is in dire need of farm tools.
Kogwela Farm is in a very strategic location in the island of Rusinga Island. If I can get a loan, then the farm will flourish. I intend to grow potatoes, maize, carrots, onions, tomatoes and beans. The farm is situated in Waregi Village of Mbita Sub-County, it's an urban center, and with this strategic location, the farm will be able to fetch a good sales from the farm.
I have been involved in small-scale farming for the last 2 years. Farming in the shores of Lake Victoria is unexploited sector.
I need a 2nd loan of KES 25,068 to enable me buy seeds, pesticides and manure for use in the farm during this rainy season. With the new seedlings and adequate manure, I will be able to harvest in good time and sell the farm produce when the demand is still high and get a good price for my products. I foresee my profit increasing by 40% with this 2nd loan. Thanks alot for trusting me and accepting to walk with me in journey as I develop Kogwella Food Farm to be a viable enterprise.
