Am Seidu Sumaila, 33 years of age and a graduate of Narh-Bita college of health, a good entrepreneur whose aim is to build my own business of pharmaceuticals. Currently I have opened up a small chemical store locally called drugs store. Although very small, I thank the Almighty God for such a great opportunity like this granted me. However, I have a long time ambition of getting enough capital to expand it into a great pharmaceutical shop. Currently, I work as a laboratory technician at the district hospital in the Tain district. I believe in self employment and reliance that is why although working in the government sector, I still believe in the business of creating my own job and this is what has kept me to this moment and seen me through my education. At the moment I have a small shop where I have employed an attendant who helps me with the dispensing when I am not around. My dream is to see poverty being reduced in my community as expanding the shop will create the room of employing more hands which in turn will reduce unemployment in the area.
I am in the sales of both drugs and non-drugs pharmaceutical items. Some of the drug items include antimalaria, antifungal, antibiotics, pain killers etc. Some of the non drugs include plasters, gentian violet, cotton wool, gauze, gloves etc. I also test for malaria, check blood pressure and fasting or random blood sugar levels . All these items and services are offered at Nsawkaw the district capital of Tain in the Brong Ahafo Region Ghana. Mostly, people who come to buy from the pharmacy are patients who visit the district hospital, other surrounding health centres and CHPS compound but do not get the prescribed drugs there. My small pharmacuetical shop is what I use to provide all the above services mentioned. Although, I find it difficult to meet the demands due inadequate capital to expand and stock the shop.
I would be glad to get this loan in order to help expand it by buying more live saving drugs. It is my dream also to extend this business of mine to parts of the region and the nation as a whole. By this I hope to decrease mortality among the sick which in turn help the country achieve certain things such as reducing deaths among children under five years and pregnant women. In addition, I will be able to make good profit in order to take care of the family of which I am the bread winner. I promise to execute and respect the rules and regulation of this noble institution. Thank you.

I have been able to raise part of the amount needed for the payment and there is still part to raise. It therefore came to my surprise when a friend introduced me to zidisha and I am very grateful. I would therefore be very glad if a loan is raised for me to complete payment of the rent. This will in turn relieve me of pressure from my landlord and thus make me focus on building the business. I promise to fully comply to all terms and conditions applied to the loan. Thank you.
