About Me

My name is Sammy Biwot. i schooled in Kapturo primary school in Eldoret and went to Turbo high school still in Eldoret. My life in school was not so easy because i faced a lot of challenges tracking long distances to get to my school. i used to walk for 1 hour and 30 minutes every day from our home to the school a total of 3 hours walk every day. This challenges encouraged me to walk hard in school and thus realized my dreams of becoming a veterinary officer. i went to collage and studies veterinary.
After finishing school i was employed as a veterinary officer in a near by county government. i have worked with them for a period of 3 years, saved some cash and established my own veterinary company. i am planning to continue expanding the veterinary to became a big organization that can take care of farmers animals and also breed animals to produce better breeds and quality animals.

My Business

i render health care services to farmers animals. i am a veterinary officer who treats and take care of the health of animals around our area of living. The services that i offer to farmers are on very high demand because for animals for example cow to produce more milk their health must be assured. therefore i readily get customers who wants their animals to be dewarmed from warms, sprayed from ticks and so on so as to increase their productivity. The demand for this services are very high because of the large population of people who owns farm animals.
I choose this kind of business because i came from a background of dairy animal farmers. therefore, i am well equipped with knowledge of how to take care and maintain the health of animals, also my study in veterinary has also widened my scope of knowledge with the maintenance of animals health.
i have used around 500 Us dollars to open my own veterinary premise. This amount has catered for licensing, construction of offices, buying drugs for the animals and also leasing a premise to use in selling the drugs.
i am planning to use the profit generated to reinvest back into the business by constructing a dip for the animals. This will help control Ticks from attacking animals.

Loan Proposal

Given the loan that is 50 Us dollars, i am planning to use the money together with my personal savings of 150 Us dollars to make it a total of 200 Us dollars to construct a dip for animals.
This will personally benefit me by gaining money from farmers who will be bring their animals to my dip for spraying and controlling ticks. i will be charging spraying animals per head that is per cattle i am expected to be payed 1 Us dollar. to others the cattle dip will help control ticks that are competing with the animals for resources thus this will help increase their productivity.
i expect to generate a profit of 400 Us dollars per month from the dip and also from other activities taking place in the veterinary.
