About Me

I'm 34 years old. I have 4 kids. I graduated from Maseno University. Professionally I'm a teacher, but I have not been able to get a public school position so I work as a temporal teacher in a local private school.

The meager salary I get has never been enough to meet my family's needs, so I work on a part-time basis in my husband's poultry farm. My husband is a great innovator of clay chicken warmers that use charcoal. He has gained very big popularity and his business is doing well. His clay chicken warmers use local charcoal and I am pushed to look for alternative source of energy to supplement charcoal and save our forests by decreasing deforestation.

My Business

Having successfully started a briquettes project under the support of Zidisha, I kindly request a loan to buy marketing tools. I wish to buy a laptop and USB stick modem to reach my customers anytime they want to connect with me. I will make targeted adverts on the Internet to encourage communities on benefits of smokeless energy (briquettes). I believe it will improve my sales and as well other communities will embrace the idea and implement it. Imagine how the world would be with minimal or no deforestation!!

laptop cost: kes.29,000
modem: kes.2,000
data bundles: kes.4,000
