About Me

I am Metrine chesoi psongoiyo,29 years of age. I come from a small village called Kapkurongo in Bungoma, western part of Kenya. i did my o level from Chwele girls high school after which joined Eldoret polytechnic college through sponsorship from a local leader from my county, this was as a result of my widowed mother failed to raised my college fees due her law income from her vegetables business. after college i started a small business of selling para fine around our village so as to help my siblings complete their studies, after a year i gathered some good money and moved to Nairobi the capital city of Kenya where i ventured to selling of gas cylinders . currently my business has been on the upper trend of making good profit. i look forward to educate my young siblings and my daughter with the profit from the business. Since i come from herders community where people believe on keeping cattle and value less on education and also practice FGM, my siblings and my child have had a negative feelings towards our culture and they look forward to get better education so that hey can be more meaning full in my home locality by educating the villagers to abandon the primitive culture like FGM which causes more harm to women. during my fee time i like reading motivational journals and a times move out to play basket ball

My Business

i have a gas cylinder shop where i sell and distribute gas cylinders within my estate where i live in, i do supply different sizes of gas cylinder containers ranging from pimagas, 6 kg gas cylinder and 13 kg gas cylinders. due to high demand of the gas cylinders within the locality where i carry out my business due to the nature of its clean, reliable and healthy as compared to use of para fine, i found this kind of business more sufficient and profitable. The typical cost of this business is money for refiling the gas , add more cylinders as well as buying the burners and grills which are popularly used by clients who depend on 6 kg gas cylinders . I use my revenues to pay for my bills, pay rent and save some for the future of my family and siblings.

I look forward to expand my business so that i be in a position of employing some good number of jobless youths to help on deliveries of my cooking gas containers a swell as sponsor one of the children home within my estate by supplying them with their basic needs.

The profit i get from my business help on paying my bills like electricity, house rent my children and siblings school fees as well as save some for future plans

Loan Proposal

I plan to construct a larger and safer gas cylinder for display, the current rack i have can accommodate only 25 containers at a time. i plan to enlarge the rack to a capacity of 50 containers at the same time. enlarging my displaying rack will enable me save time on moving the containers every now and then to and fro from the store as my customers will always get all types of the gas containers at their disposal. this will help me meet approximately 25% increase in profit.

The cost of constructing the rack entails
buying of metals Gage 16 worth ksh14000, welding rods worth ksh2000 and the cost of paying the welder who will fix the rack worth ksh6000.
I plan to add more fund from my savings in addition to the money i have requested from ZIDISHA.
