About Me

My name is Sylvester Amoah. I come from Santasi near kumasi in the Ashanti
Region. I stay at Madina near the La-Nkwantanang school in Accra. I am married to
Sarah Amoah with three lovely daughters.
I was a teacher for over ten years. I taught in Elim Basic school in Madina and Nadat memorial wschool in Adenta. Presently i am working as a pastor (Associate pastor) with God's Tabernacle of Praise, a church in Madina, Accra. I am the missions director.

My Business

To support the ministerial (pastoral) work and be able to cater well for my family, i am engaged in business. I have a shop or small container in the madina market where i sell cosmetics, various types of creams and perfumes.
I have employed someone to manage the shop for me but i constantly and strictly monitor and oversee the financial progress of the shop. I will need $1,500 to 2,000 to invest into the business.

Loan Proposal

Dear Lenders,

This loan like the previous loans will be utilised to improve and expand my cosmetic business. Thanks to the kindness of zidisha lenders I was able to make quite a substantial amount of profit on the previous loan. The cash afforded me opportunity to purchase more creams and perfumes to sell during the past Christmas festivities. My family and I were able to buy some new clothes and foodstuffs to enjoy the occasion of Christmas. Also I'm able to get money to offset my children's school fees. This loan will go a long way to augment the cosmetic business .

I just finished paying my zidisha loan and was about to apply for another loan. However to my surprise I just found out that you are withholding 500 ghc out of the 1770 ghc you are giving me but I still have to pay back the whole loan amount. This is not very clear to me and I deem it very unfair. Could you please explain further. Thanks.

I receive an amount of 297ghc from zidisha, this money came just
about the right time. It came at a time i needed money to buy items
for my shop. I used the money to buy perfumes and creams to stock up my shop.
I am highly grateful to the lenders for this kind gesture
