About Me

my name is Irene Cherop, a Kenyan business woman, a Muslim as well as as a law abiding citizen. I schooled at Kiilini Primary school in Moyale and secured a place at Moi girls high school for my secondary level of education. After completing high school, i had a strong passion to start my own business and thus joined Kims college in Eldoret and pursued a diploma in Business Management. After finishing my diploma i started studying Eldoret Central Business District to identify the most suitable business to venture into. After some months of searching and critical thinking, i settled on running a boutique because it was the only vacant market where i could generate income easily because the number of women's boutique in Eldoret was countable.
i have really struggled to establish myself as well as support my kinds, we divorced sometimes back last year with my husband because of unfaithful issues that i could no longer hold in my chest, i was thus left with three kid that i support all alone .
I have three kids, one who is a boy is in campus in his fourth year semester taking bachelors degree in Engineering, the other two are in four two and class seven. I need a lot of money to educate them as well as provide for them the most basic need. Thus i heavily rely on my business to meet all this demands

My Business

i offer sale of boutique items to women ranging from nail polish, women hair, bags, clothes, and all beauty related items for women. The services that i offer to women in Eldoret is on very high demand because in Eldoret town i am centrally located thus attracting more customers and also i offer unique type of clothes and other things imported from outside country. This fact makes customers flock to my place for unique items.
i choose this kind of business because after a thorough study of the Eldoret Market i found out that the women required a boutique shop thus decided to open one for them.
i used close to1000 Us dollars to open the boutique. This amount catered for licensing the business, paying the rent, furnishing the shop as well as buying stocks of clothes for sale.
I use the profits generated to pay school fees for my kids, support the business by re-investing into the business as well as take cafe of myself.

Loan Proposal

Given the loan 150 Us dollars, i will use the money in the following way; 50 Us dollars will be added with my savings of another 50 Us dollars making it 100 Us dollars and buy new clothes or stock for the boutique. The remaining 100 Us dollars will be added to another savings of 300 Us dollars totaling it to 400 Us dollars and pay my sons last semester school fee.
I will benefit from this because with new stock in my boutique, i will be assured of more customers and thus more profits. The burden of paying my sons school fee will also be no more. Thus i can peacefully concentrate in my business and paying back the loan to Zidisha.
I expect to increase my profits from 100 Us dollars every day to around 150 Us dollars.
