About Me

I am Priscilla Okrobea, people normally call me Adwoa Pee. I attended Suhum Presby Primary and Junior High school. I completed my Senior High School at Suhum Presbyterian Senior High School in the year 2011. After School i worked in someone's shop as shop attendance for a year and then worked as a pupil teacher at Star of Suhum School for more than a year. I also taught in other schools in Tarkorase in Kade in the Eastern Region. I love teaching. I also worked with Woman in Law and Development in Africa (WILDAF) as a volunteer. I worked for them in the Ghana 2012 general election as a observer and a reporter. I applied and was admitted at the University of Cape Coast in Cape Coast, Ghana to study Diploma in Education in 2013. I was able to successfully complete my first year but had to defer my second year due to financial constraints and later dropped out. I have been able complete a certificate course in Social Work in 2017 and currently offering diploma in Social work in the same school and hoping to complete next year, 2019.
My first and second loan helped me in expanding my small business to supported me in my education. I am currently in my final semester and I will need another loan to produce more pastries for vendors to sell for me to get some income to support me complete my social work program successfully.

My Business

Am a caterer and I make pastries (Meat Pie, Doughnut, Cakes, plantain chips and rock bans) for people to sell. I make the pastries for vendor who sell in various lorry terminal, shops and schools. Vendors come for the pastries in the morning and go to sell them before sunset. They return with the money and I then give them their commission. For those who sell in their shops and schools sell everything before they come for another order. the loan will help me increase production and recruit more vendors to sell for me thereby helping generate more income to support me in my education.

Loan Proposal

When my loan is funded, I will increase the amount of pastries that I make and recruit two more vendors to send for me. I will use Ghs 80 to purchase two bags (5kg) of flour, Ghs 70 to purchase two sieves (glass box) that will be used to sell my pastries by new vendors, Ghs 40 to purchase gas, and the rest Ghs 550 to pay my membership fee and Members Loan Fund deposit. This can help me increase my income by Ghs 80 in a week thereby helping me save more money toward my university education, help support my family and also help me repay my loan on time.
