My name is Debora Owusuaa Yeboah .I come from Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.I am in a family of four and the third child of my parents. I started my education at Freeman Methodist Basic School. After completion I continued at the Notredam Senior High School. Upon completion I applied to The University of Education where I obtained my degree in Education. I am married with a kid. My hobbies are decoration, singing and working with people around me especially woman. My passion for decoration led me into starting my job asa seamstress aside my teaching profession. I hope to brin
g a change to my community through my job as a seamstress. I make all kinds of women dresses ranging from straight dress to kaba and slit.
I started my my seamstress shop in the year 2000.I started my seamstress shop due to my passion for dress making.. I learnt to sew at a very tender age and used to help my sisters back at home before having my Basic education. I grabbed the opportunity to set up a small shop behind my house which I started with sewing students’ uniform. The patronage was high. I took two assistants who also served as apprentice to help. Today I have five apprentices who help to run my salon. I look up to renting a spacious place to help expand my shop. People prefer to sew at my shop because of good services I offer them. I am able to blend modern styles to our traditional fashion. I hope to do more to help my community especially ladies who want to go into fashion designing.I have been able to cater for kid education and run my home.
REPAYMENT OF LOAN
My dress making business is a profit making venture and therefore I will be able to repay loans offered me with incomes I generate from sewing dresses.
I intend to use the requested loan to expand my working space. I now have other apprentices learning from me. There is therefore the need for me to expand my shop so that I and my apprentices can comfortably work to improve my business. If am able to renovate my shop, it will attract more customers and thereby improve upon my income.
