About Me

Mavis Amungu is my name, a mother and a bread winner of a family of 4[four] in the Eastern part of Ghana, A village called Somanya, A town mostly known and called by most Ghanaian s and foreigners, it is the Yilo Krobo district.
I was born and bread in this town until i grew up and got married to my late husband who was also a renowned business man by name Ferka Alago. we both took into this beads business until his sudden demise in the year 2006.
My whole life has been into active business with my husband in the sale of waist and wrist beads to local and foreigners who do normally troop into the village because of the tourism nature the Yilo Krobo District brings to the forefront of the country.
As a mother, i spent most of my time making beautiful beads for most of my white friends who frequently visit the place any time they are in to spent some holidays.
Although i love the business so much, cause i sit to create fine beads that people love and cherished, but anytime i think of doing something big about my talents i feel a cold pit as this horrors go everyday, the political atmosphere couple with some economic factors hits me back. why, because where to get a working capital to expand is a problem. Cost of credit is high and does not make it friendly for borrowing. i had more of my foreign friends who keeps requesting more of my beads to be sent back to Europe but anytime i get more of such calls i soak in tears , why , because i am eager to meet demand amid escalating troubles but cannot.

My Business

My business as already discussed in brief is a beads decorative art for sale. the origin of beads and how it is made in itself is very interesting, its enhancement however especially the emergence of the glass beads has gained prominence.
Beads are becoming popular across the globe and are naturally beautiful on anyone irrespective of gender, tribe or age.
However, as much as i focused on delivery a good job, the bigger the challenge. the market is globally good but the resource to turn around the other factors is a problem
Normally, my turnover is GHS1745.90 a week that is equivalent to 449 USD dollars but i am always not able to satisfy my outstanding customers both local and abroad. my stock is not always enough to meet the impending demand, not because i don't want to make more beads to satisfy the demand but rather i lack the funds to turnaround the other factors. When i opted my first loan from my country Bank, NIB
after the final repayment made i realized that i run at a loss which threw me out from business for a while because the interest rate was too high. i was cash trap and my business came knocking, until i came in contact about zidisha that can help offer you a loan at a minimal rate i said to myself "this is my now" to expand.
Affectionately, i will like to appeal to this wonderful noble lenders to help save me and my business from a total collapse, kindly help me to stay in business in order to afford the three square meal for my family. thank you,

Loan Proposal

the loan amount when approved will send me organizing some few raw materials like decorated bottles that will be used in the making of the beads. i will inject that portion
of the income to my business and that alone can produced about 30 pieces chain of beads which can be sold for a value. this will push my turnover by a margin upwards and with gradual and final repayment i will opted for a second loan to produced and meet the impending festive season yet to set it. this will be a good timing for good profits. thank you.
