I live in Umoja with my family of 3 kids and my husband,I have successfully completed a course in computer packages.
I run a food kiosk which i started after failing to get a job, i prepare snacks, fruit salad and simple food. My business is near construction sites and factory s where there so many casual laborers who are my regular customers.
I started this business to be able to cater for my family, especially my kids school fees and house rent which i pay using the earnings i get from the job. am enjoying every moment at the business. My net revenue is used to pay school fees, food, rent and save some cash since we do this business with my husband who helps me alot in cooking and serving the food.
My business is based in Industrial area at lungalunga opposite to Shell petrol station. It involves preparing snacks, fruit salad and food hence I have employed 1 person to assist me in cooking and serving.
The demand for the services is growing everyday because the factorys hire people every day so sometimes some customers miss the food because our facilities can only prepare limited quantity and of specific type.
I intend to purchase big sufurias, bowls and more seats to accommodate more clients because currently am losing many clients to a new hotel but still the clients like my dish because of its great quality thus with zidisha support I will have access to friends who will advice me on how to progress and also to access funds to purchase more equipments to accommodate more clients.
When I get this loan,it will help me improve on my hotel business in the following ways;,buying of food stock estimated at 30 dollars, buying of utensils and for food preservatives and extending premises at 120 dollars.Using the loan I will be able to see the returns the loan will create; improve the food quality that will help me get a bigger and better market since the are happy with my service and are satisfied. The expected benefit is likely to shoot up especially when the returns will help expand my business by increasing the quality of my hotel and its standard.I hope to be supported because I can't afford single handedly to meet full financial requirements of the hotel business due to the increased costs of items in the market, especially around Nairobi where I run my hotel.
