About Me

My names are Joyce namarome wafula. I ama mother of three and a single mother after we separated with my husband through misunderstandings. Am am partly learned since I dropped out of school at form two level. The education I acquired enabled me start my own business. I could not proceed with education as I got pregnant and dropped out of school. I started off by selling dry coffee(black) to chwele tea factory. This coffee belonged to my father but gradually my savings accumulated and I decided to use it to build my own home. My former husband married me here but we later separated due to infidelity issues. I teach and mentor my children to grow up wholesomely. Being an avid reader I also do encourage them to read hard not only to pass exams but to build up their vocabulary. I also like netball as my hobby right from school.

My Business

I deal with coffee farming and its my major business. I weed , harvest then transport coffee to the factory which is 30km away from my home. I spend alot in transporting it as it costs me about 30 dollars which according to my experience is very expensive. Coffee farming is cumbersome and very demanding while it is still in the shamba because maintaining it is costly. I still like this business because the sales are very high and the factory pays promptly on monthly basis. coffee farming is rare but on very high demand by the factory because it needs it to process coffee which thereafter is highly consumed by kenyans.

Loan Proposal

I have a coffee farm and I usually hire vehicles and sometimes motorcycles to transport the berries to the factory.
I therefore would like to revive my own motorcycle which was grounded eight months ago due to lack of finance and proper plan and calculations. I wish to spend my loan if granted as follows:

1. 8000 KES or 80USD to do service overhaul

2. 30 USD to pay the 'fundi' or the mechanic

4. 10 USD for miscellaneous expenses. Thanks. my lenders.
