About Me

I am Stephen Omondi Asingo, I was born in 1993 in a rural village of Kasgunga Ward in Homabay County, in the republic of Kenya. I was the 2nd born in a family of two boys only. My parents were illiterate and had very low income since they were peasant farmers. I did not get the support needed to pursue education and upon completion my secondary education at in the year 2014 at Tom Mboya Secondary School in Rusinga Island, Kenya.

Upon completion of high school, I started working in a local school as an English Teacher, teaching year 1-5 . It is in this teaching career that I managed to save KES 14,000 which I joined Suba Teachers Training College to pursue a Diploma course in Early Childhood Education (ECD).

In my free time, I do participate in youth development activities at my village.

My Business

am undergoing a Diploma Course in Early Childhood Education. I am also teaching in a local private school and I earn a monthly salary of KES 5,000. I am passionate about helping the little children and I love teaching. It's a noble profession. I look forward to completing my coursework and contributing to societal development through my teaching profession.

Loan Proposal

I am requesting for a loan of KES 19,933 to enable me pay my early childhood education teachers training college fee, coursebooks and workbooks. I will repay the loan with income from teaching job. My monthly income of KES 8,000 will enable me meet my family food, medical, school and households needs comfortably. Upon completion of my teacher education course, I will be employed with the Government of Kenya or start my own nursery/pre-school and this will enable me to increase my income and support my family. In my monthly income, I will be able to use 50% of the income to meet my family needs, 30% to repay the loan on a daily basis and save 20%. I want to appeal to my lenders to consider partnering with me to support my education.
