Am John Njuguna thuku my friends call me "dombolo" this name is a nickname given to me while dancing on a road show for popular lingala music by Koffie olomide called DOMBOLO YA SOLO,
I was born in limuru central province and moved to narok in the year 2008 for university education, however i dint manage to finish my education due to financial mishaps.
Life in Narok town was not that easy i lacked food and things went out of hand i had to drop out of school and my parents lacked money, so i thot of going back home but found it hard because i knew there was nothing important i was going to do rather than add problems to my family,
A friend introduced me to car washing and i started doing car wash services in Narok river popularly known as OCEAN to raise cash to complete my education and food, This is where i learned to drive when given a car to wash.
A year after i managed to do a driving course and got a driving license, having the license made me search for driving jobs and after some months in the year 2012 i got employed to work as a driver for wananchi Sacco.
Am now married with one kid living living in narok town rift valley province of Kenya, and my life is slowly changing although i dint make it to go back to school i thank God for always giving me strength to make it to where i am now.
I like cars swimming fishing and adventure,i would like my son to do education course in future and also teach him how to drive as soon as he gets to 15yrs.
Am a taxi driver for wananchi Sacco in narok town,my work is to transport passengers to any destination as directed by my boss.
I get paid 22000 Kenya shillings this is 200 us d per month.
I dint chose this business i did it because i lacked otherwise but with time i came to love driving so much and am even saving so that one day i will buy my own taxi.
I use this money to sustain my family send some to my parents, save for my sons school fee so that when he start going to school i would be ready and save some in Mwalimu Sacco.
Am happy to join zidisha
If i raise this cash i will make it 200 US dollars and use it to set up a small shade like a shop to start a small food grocery for my wife.
i will use the cash as follows
30$ to construct a shade
150$to buy different variety of food cereals stuffs .eg beans, maize, kales, cabbages, e.t.c
10$ to pay rent for the space and
10$to pay tax.
