About Me

I was born in Kibabii location of Bungoma county in a family of 3 brothers and 6 sisters. My father, Adriano Makokha had three wives and my mother Felistas Achieng was the second wife. We raised chicken and cows in my fathers farm, the portion which was given to my mother as the second wife.We grew maize and beans and tomatoes for sellig in order to raise our fees and to help our home.I attended Bukusu primary school,a remote school in Kibabii.I managed to pass highly but did not join secondary school because my father and mother passed away soon after i did my primary school exams.
After they died i moved out of the home with my brothers and sisters and we lived on the main Kibabii market where we started selling groceries on the highway. This enabled us to educate our two lastborns all the way to college .
I have been doing grocery business ever since and i'm married with two children, boys.

My Business

I buy fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, sukuma wiki, cabbage and potatoes from the famous Chwele market and sell it at a busy location right by the new Kibabii university where many students live off campus and cook for themselves.I usually buy my stock at an average of 30$ weekly and after sales i make on average 9$ to 15 $ profit.I pay 1$ to the local council for the daily business permit while i pay 30$ to rent the space each month.I would like to engage more in the fruit business as they are in high demand.I have a savings fund for my stoo and save 30$ every month towards their education.

Loan Proposal

I will buy fruits i.e pawpaws, mangoes, avocados and vegetables such as tomatoes, sukuma wiki, cabbage and potatoes from the famous Chwele market.I plan to spend 50$ in buying the fruits i just mentioned. After sales i expect to make a 25% profit because Kibabii is a busy place and the only fruit seller closed months ago and moved out of town. The new Kibabii university students live off campus and cook for themselves so i will also boost my stock by buying kales, cabbage and tomatoes costing 50$.I also expect to make a 25% profit from these weekly and should be able to save more and also to buy more stock.
My lastborn son has not attended school in a month because of arrears stretching back 6 months.I had made enough savings to pay for it but will be able to fully offset the debt using the increased profits.
