About Me

My name is Jenny Chiti am single and am based in Kitwe. I am a pharmacist by profession and am also an entrepreneur. I finished secondary education and did a diploma in pharmacy. I worked for 2 years and due to covid19 the business I worked for closed. Am now my own boss.

My Business

After working for 2 I got my gratuity and because I saw a lot of uncertainty with jobs I decided to use my savings to start my own business. It's not been easy I need financial support for me to make progress. I am renting a shop and I have a sales assistant so these two are my major cost.

Loan Proposal

I wish to thank all lenders for supporting my business.I run a drug store and sell assorted medications. I am applying for a loan amounting to K1,974 so that I can order locally made face masks and supply in my drug store .There is high demand for locally made face masks because they are washable so it's proving to be cheap for most customers.. The profit I will realise after selling I will quickly repay my loan.

Income Source

Health is priority to many so even if there is economic crisis people will still need to take medication when they are seek. Am so determined that I will repay the loan.

This person explained to me that her machine for making face masks wasn't performing well so her business was quite disturbed. But its fixed and she will start repaying soon.

    Dear Jenny,

good luck with your business. Very commendable from you to help your community to stop spreading the virus!

Just out of curiosity: What mask do you sell? Professional surgical mask or FFP masks?
If you think cloth masks may be appropriate and more accepted, there are good sewing instructions and pattern to produce community masks, e. g.
    quiltforlovers.com/index.ph...
    www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaZ...

And have you thought about adding hand disinfectant or liquid soap to your offering? This is another piece in the puzzle to fight Covid-19 and also helps with hygiene in general.

Lastly, I find the WHO information for the general public very useful:
    www.who.int/emergencies/dis...
    They include ready-to-print posters

Maybe you can put some of these on display to educate the community about how to fight Corona.

    Stay safe!

    Kind regards from Switzerland,
    Jochen
