About Me

Am Wairimu Munyua a 5th born in a family of 6 siblings. Single mum of 3 sons whom I love so much. Am originally from Muranga County, but born and brought up here in Nairobi city. My father was a business man all his years until when he went to heaven in 2012, and seeing his determination and hard work, have encouraged me to also have the same qualities, and in 2008 I opened my business of cyber café.
I went to school here in Nairobi, from primary, secondary and college. In 1991 I got employed and served in the same company in different levels and finally as a production planner. The company later closed its doors in 2007 here in Kenya and moved most of the products produced to other countries, like Egypt, South Africa and Nigeria.
My sons are aged 21 years(in university 4th year), 14 years and 9 years both in lower primary. Been a single parent has not been easy, but it has made me to be very close to my sons and we are good friends. And even when things seem to be hard, I had managed to talk to them and make them look at the bigger picture of their future, than the present. They all perform well in school, and this makes me a proud mother.
When am not working I like taking my sons to swimming, which they love so much, but I fear such waters, and only feel safe in my bath water in the bucket or a shower. I too like taking them to the parks, they get to see the wildlife. When indoors, I like watching a nice movie or been in the kitchen making a special meal for the boys.

My Business

When the company I worked for closed down, a year later I started my Cyber Café business, this is where clients can come and browse at a cost per minute, print a document, give me some typing jobs and photocopying. When I started in 2008 business was good as most people were still new to internet and the turn out was good. And from the proceeds , I was able to increase my computers from 4 to 7.
When I started my business on a good month I would make up to USD 450 and my cost of running the business would come to USD255.324 that includes rent, internet, stationery, power and salary for 1 person.
But with time more people are now using phones or I-pads to browse, so the number of clients coming for browsing which was my main target has gone down and more come to cyber for other services like photocopy, printing, document scanning, spiral binding, lamination and typing services and these are the services I need to upgrade for those in place and introduce
And to be able to take this route of doing business possible and keep my business going, I will need help, through loan to buy the machines. My plans are to have a copier costing USD618.625, and for printer machine which goes for USD393.671, which can print both on paper and photo special papers, spiral binding machine of USD112.477, lamination machine of USD168.716 and necessary stationery needed of USD56.239
From the cashflow from my business with the machines in place, I have confidence I will be able to pay the loan comfortably and support my family.
Total amount am requesting to be loaned is USD1349.73.
I pray and hope my story will touch you and lend me the money.

Loan Proposal

I plan to buy my printing machine cartridge and ink to refill.
Cartridge cost is USD16 and ink for refill is 1USD
With this stock on my side will help to be ready to replace when the present one get worn out.
Hope in future I can buy a bigger machine and increase my sales.
Printing job is very marketable at the moment and I really want to concentrate with that.
