my names are emmanuel tunje chiro. a resident here in mtwapa Mombasa am a parent and am married i live with my wife and i have five children three are boys and two are girls. they are all in school two are in secondary school and two are in primary school and the last born in kindergarten.am a had working business man here in mtwapa at miami area in mtwapa. my education background is class eight of Kenya primary school. i did go for higher education such as secondary because my family could not afford to pay school fees due of lucky of funds as a result of poverty. with my earnings from my business i do buy things form me and for my family and these things are like food for the family paying of school fees and add more stock at my business

My Business

my business is of buying and selling of charcoals here in mtwapa. i buy these goods in large amount and do transport them with a mibus from the forest and bring them into my shop or selling place. these products are of great demand all over mtwapa since these are one of the basic method which most of the people here are using this products for cooking foods at their home. so they are well on demand.most people like buying these goods at my shop because my prices are very affordable to all.my monthly running cost is Kenya shillings 30,000. and my monthly sales collection is Kenya shillings 70,000. this is now getting me a monthly profit of Kenya shillings 40.000 monthly which is good profit to my business.

many thanks goes to the whole of zidisha team for approving m,y loan application with this loan now am going to expand my business twice than it was before. this is to ensure i buy more bundle of charcoals to the forest and bring them to my shop. by doing this it will increase my daily earnings and make me improve my daily living standard

    I spoke to Mr. Emmanuel today and he said he will pay some money on 26th this month. He said he has been struggling to raise school fees for his children hence the delay.

    I phoned Chiro today 12:56pm. He is still committed to 2 installment repayment as promised. It is a few days to go on his next repayment, before 10th of this March. Thank you lenders for patience.

    I phoned Chiro and reminded him on timely repayments. He acknowledged his zidisha obligations. He has promised to repay in two installments this March. Half on the start of the month and the remaining on the end of March. He sounds equally committed to that schedule. We'll wait on him to keep his promise.

    Dear Lenders,

    today we have received this SMS from Mr Chiro:

    "Dear zidisha team.I have been recieving and reading your messages but i couldn't respond to any because i could not tell or make a date for my loan repayments. Actually i had an ill daughter(Faida) She was admitted on 23/9/2013 and died on 4/10/2013 baried on 12/10/2013. I spent alot.I had to stop and c lose my bussinenes.I'm sorry and I appologize for not let you know.Till now i'm out of stock but I hope to resume by the end of january 2014. Though late, I promise to complete repaying the loan on my own Thank you.EMMAMUEL.CHIRO"

    We are very sorry for this sad event in his life and we hope he will recover soon.

    I phoned Emmanuel today 12.54pm and inquired on repayments. He explained that his business went down but he is working hard on bringing it back to profitability. He promised to resume repayments from January 2014. He has not considered rescheduling as he wants to clear the loan by March 2014.
