About Me

I am Margaret Nyambura, my tribe is Kikuyu. I was born in Nanyuki, Rift valley province, Kenya. I am the second born of 4 ladies. I am a single mother with one son, 7 years old. My firstborn sister is married with 2 daughters, thirdborn sister is married with one son and my little sister is in campus, third year. My parents were very hardworking farmers which gave my dad a name , 'Kamindo', a Meru word meaning strong, hardworking man who never tire, Mmmmmmmh. So we could assist in the farm, fetch water from the river, fetch firewood and do all household chores. I am 28 aged business woman. Since my parents separated, life has not been easy. Dad has not been supporting us at all so my dear mother has struggled all through, paying for our school fees until we attained high school. My Older sister got married before completing her college studies, the third born gave up after failing some papers as she was pursuing B. business management. Myself i did My KCSE, Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in 2009. In 2010 i enrolled for computer studies and scored distinction. I was to join campus in 2011 but i did not because i was expectant. since then i have worked very hard to feed my kid, myself, pay for school fees and support my mother. We have struggled to pay for my sister's university fee until i couldn't afford for my college fee. This made me think, i thought of a small business, i could cook chapattis and sell, buy children clothes and sell by mobile. Now I buy dry beans, dry maize, peas and other cereals, fruits and veges and sell at retail. I love doing my own business and being my own boss. As my mother helps me in business, i work at Oloolaiser Boys High School as an Accountant. Before i used to work as the secretary but after i started my CPA, they promoted me to the accounts office. I don't earn much though, but i'm grateful. I am hardworking, principled and goal oriented lady. I believe in success, dream come true and most of all, I believe I can.

My Business

I do cereal's business. I buy stock from farm and sell to customers at a good price. I also do online marketing e.g network marketing, and also I sell items online. I work as an accountant, Oloolaiser high school and earn small amount end month. to sum up, I am a hustler.

Loan Proposal

I will enlarge my cereal and fruit business as well as invest in other means e.g selling tea, mandazi and chapattis. cereal business, i will add more stock, buy from the farm as a wholesale and sell to my customers as retail and at a and fair price. The profit i earn will help me pay for my bills, pay school fees for my son and also pay for my tuition, college fees and examination fees. if you grant me this money, i will really appreciate and will be of great help. Thank you and may the alright God bless you abundantly as you continue with your good work.

Greetings Margaret, James again. How are you and your son doing this Sunday? What is your sons name and age. I am guessing that you are a single mother. I have 5 daughters who are single mothers, 1 in Nakuru, 1 in Navasha, 2 in Nairobi, and 1 in Uganda. One of my daughters is named Margaret. How is your business doing? Do you have a store in Ngong where you sell the cereals, fruit, and other things? By the way Margaret, does the Oloolaiser boys high school ever have special events or parties for the boys? How about a pizza party, or pizza served at a special event, do you think they would be interested? What are you studying in college? Whatever it is I am sure that your dream will come true someday in time. Keep believing in it and working towards it. If anyone can achieve it, you can. I have the greatest of confidence in you. Take care, write when possible, and "Keep on keeping on". Till next time, James

Hello James. We are doing well. My son is 7years old. He is in grade 1. He is excited that he is about to close school so that he can visit his grandmother. I am glad to hear that you have daughters, 5 of them. I have 3 sisters too. 2 are married, one in her 3rd year in campus. My small business is doing great and i'm grateful. Here at Oloolaiser, they dont do a lot of parties especially pizza party. they normally have festivals e.g music and games, weekend challenge and symposiums. but there is always a first time in everything so i think it would be a very good idea to the principal. Myself i'm studying accounts. I just started with CPA part 1. Thank you so much for believing in me. I really appreciate. I wish you all the best too, say hi to your daughters. Thank you.

I will buy stock from the farm and sell to my customers at a good price. I also do online marketing so some of my items like fruits i will sell online. At work, as a secretary, Oloolaiser high school i promote my business by displaying some items to teachers and my fellow staff. so this loan will be of great help to me.
