About Me

My name is Dorothy Ndhlovu aged 24 years. I completed my grade 12 and I and hold a certificate in tailoring and designing.

I am a very determined young lady with several skill in lectures and demonstration and also sewing skills in clothing and designing materials.

I was adopted at one of the orphanages, From there I learnt a lot of skills from the community school of empowering the vulnerable in society. Today iam one of the best lectures who trains girls and vulnerable women in communities and help with skills sewing and designing of clothing.

My Business

Iam involved mainly sewing reusable sanitary pads, designing of dresses, sewing school jerseys and work suits and teach the vulnerable girls and school leavers who have nothing to do or no one to sponsor them.
I also train the women to improve their livelihood for their family.
I do realise good income and empower my fellow young women to start earning a living by impacting them with the knowledge of sewing and designing of clothing
Am planning to expand my project and turn into an NGO by bring more youths especially the vulnerable in communities and those galivanting the streets and those that have dropped from so as to attract more financial support from both local and international community.

However, I need to buy more fabric materials of different types and sewing machines so as to help to train more youths in our community on how to design and decorate materials and also improve them in sewing of clothing, school uniform, jerseys and supply them in school and some income of their own.

Project Proposal

I need at least ZMW 20,000.00 to buy fabric materials to make more dresses, school uniforms, working suits and reusable sanitary pads for empowering girls and women in our community learning about sewing, tailoring and designing technics .The funds will help me to expand my business project and supply to many townships in the city.
