About Me

l was born in a rhonda rural village of the nakuru where I currently reside. Life is really what you make it, I dream to be a successful farmer and give back to my community and the society as a whole. I am self driven, motivated young man. I finished high school a few years ago but was unable to continue with my education and could not find any employment either. So I decided to start my own pig farm with a little assistance from friends and family members. I am very involved with the community and hope to uplift all other young persons towards self dependance and sustainability.

My Business

As the name says, I am involved in Pig Farming. I started the business about a year and a half ago, starting with just a few piglets that I have now groomed into adults and they are beginning to multiply. I decided to venture into pig farming in my search for a more unique and different farming project. Most farmers around here are involved in poultry and vegetables but none rear pigs. This, I found a great opportunity to engage in and so far, I am sure this was a great decision as there is evidence for success and room for expansion. My biggest challenge has been affording my livestock with proper housing. The weather here can be a little rough in both rain and heat so appropriate housing has to be sort if my pigs are to flourish. With better housing I can also be able to rear more pigs and expand my enterprise. I am also planning to go a step further, instead of selling my pigs to butcheries, supermarkets and other meat retailers, I want to start my own Pork Butchery and distribution network. This will ensure I harness all profit margins and hopefully, I may also be able to employ some of peers to work with me. I know there has to be some health considerations and licensing which may pose a hurdle but I will not stop dreaming.

Loan Proposal

This loan will be mainly directed towards purchasing housing material for my pigs and build more structured Pig Styes. I also hope to expand my business by purchasing more pigs and allowing them to multiply as well as purchasing other necessities such as medicines and specialized feed. This will ensure that my pigs are healthier and thus produce better quality pork which will increase the appreciation of my customers and increase my profits and revenue. Keeping more pigs will also ensure that I buy my materials in bulk and thus get them at discounted prices. I hope to continue saving and amass more capital to make sure I sustain y business and are able to repay my loan in time. I will need to get married one day and start a family so I need to be finically stable and secure enough to raise a healthy family. I will also love to go for professional training in the future so I may gain better farming and entrepreneurship skills.

.this will make me have more savings and help sort my needs.
