My name is Peter Matoke. I am 18 years old. I am the last born in a family of eight. Our family lives in Ibacho village in Kisii County near Keroka town. This is to the west of Kenya. I am currently a first year student taking bachelor of education in Kisii University. For High School, i studied at Amabuko Secondary School while primary school I went to Okayo Memorial Academy.
For business, I am a freelance article writer. I write articles and clients pay. Because I am in campus, I use the earnings from my article writing job to sustain me and also buy food for my chicken back at home. I make about $50 a week.
I write online and this is my source of income. I also keep poultry at home. I have about ten chicken. From my writing, I make about $50 a week. I use this money to sustain myself, and the rest I buy foods and drugs for my poultry.
The main challenge i am facing is lack of a computer. I have to borrow a laptop and this interferes with service delivery. If i had my own computer, I will do more work and increase my source of income. I am putting in a loan request to help me buy a desktop computer which goes for about $100. Because I make about $50 a week, I will be able to repay the loan. I look forward to your support.
I thank you very much for the last loan which helped me buy my own desktop computer. This really improved my freelance writing work.
I am currently fundraising to buy a mini laptop. I have some savings to add the requested amount to. When I buy this mini laptop, it is going to drastically increase the volume of my output and therefore more earnings.
Moreover, recently, I started teaching my peers how to make money online. This coaching program is my way of giving back to the society at a small scale. When I get the mini laptop, I will be in a position to meet my clients anywhere they are. I will only need to charge my battery fully and I am good to go. On my academic front, I will now be using the free WiFi in my campus because i will make sure the laptop i go fro is WiFi enabled.
This mini laptop is therefore going to be a real plus in my academic and online work.
I look forward to your support once again.
Thank you very much.
