About Me

Am Alfonce Njiru, 23 years old am a part time student at Kenyatta University and a business owner. I come from mbeere, from a family of 4,a brother and two sisters, my role models in life are my parents, they thought me the importance of hard work, honesty and being trustworthy. I carry this values wherever I go, am thankful to God for every thing he's done for me and seeing me through some tough situations, as a family we've had our downfalls but my parents thought me that it doesn't matter how many times I fall but how many times I get up.
currently am a part time student, I wouldnt be a full-time student due to financial challenges, I have other siblings who depend on my parents so I had to consider their situation. For that reason I decided to start a small business which helps me carter for my basic needs and give a hand in my tuition fees as well.

My Business

I run a small movie shop, both retail and online, for my online platform I depend mostly on Facebook to get my clients. I also sell to some of my schoolmates have helped me advertise my products to their friends, all I got to do is be on top of my game, make sure I have fresh movies ontime this helps me maintain my clients.
I buy blank DVDs which I use to duplicate movies at 12 dollars for 100 pieces, the I sell a DVD at 0.5 dollars, I make 50 dollars from the whole pack after I take away all the expenses I incur i.e Internet, transport, packing and dvds I make a profit of 20 dollars,
I would like to add more services like printing and mobile money transfer services, this will help me earn more income to help me improve my situation.
I sincerely hope that this platform will help me achieve that.

Loan Proposal

i would like to expand the products i sell at my movies shop. i will use this loan to help me get a stock of mobile accessories to sell, i will invest as follows:
1. mobile chargers for 25 dollars at 1.5 dollars per a charger then sell them for 2 dollars per a charger.
2. memory cards for 20 dollars, i will buy memory cards of different capacity to sell like for 2gb, 4gb, 8gb and 16gb, for the memory cards the price vary depending on its capacity, i will get a few peaces of each for the start.
3. usb flash drive, i will invest 20 dollars on this same as memory cards i will have buy a few pieces for the start.
4. back covers for phones, i will invest 20 dollars to buy the back covers.
