Loan Proposal

There are times when Internet connectivity becomes frustrating when one is relying on a single provider, and so it is advisable for someone who spends a lot of time over the Internet to be able to use Internet modems from the three major telecommunications companies in Kenya - Safaricom, Airtel and Orange.

I currently use a Safaricom modem. This limits me when the firm is having down times or connectivity issues. I would like to purchase two more modems, one each from the other two companies.
I will also be taking on a younger freelancer to begin mentoring, and who will have the option to work from my home office - a separate building from my home but within my compound. I will obviously have to provide additional Internet access, and so I really need an extra modem.

Each modem costs about $25 locally, and so I will need $50 to buy the two that I need. The support of lenders will be greatly appreciated.

I have been having problems with my Safaricom line and unable to access certain services, including M-Pesa. I have checked my online account with Safaricom and I find payment for my last loan installment actually went through yesterday. My request for rescheduling of the loan should therefore be ignored.

I am actually ready to pay the one remaining installment, but I am experiencing system-related problems with my Safaricom line. I can make calls and send smses, but I am unable to receive calls or smses, or even use M-Pesa. Safaricom has informed me this problem is the result of a system error affecting some lines and they have been trying to sort it out over the past week. As a result, I cannot access my funds in my M-Pesa account. I am hoping the firm will resolve the problem today, but because of the delay in sorting out the matter I am forced to apply for a one-week delay in repaying the remaining balance of my last loan installment. Please bear with me.

Here are the three modems I use for my online writing business. I bought two of them using my first loan from Zidisha. What a big difference this is making to the reliability of my Internet connectivity!
