About Me
Hello good people,I am Ceciliah Bhoke. Having completed O Level education, I joined a fine art institution to study Graphics Design. I am 25 years old. I am talented in graphic designing, painting and screen printing and as much as I don’t have a lot but I offer my skills in mentorship programmes to my fellow youths. I train them to design business cards, brochures, diaries, complimentary slips and burial programmes, also wedding cards.
I started as a freelance graphics designer appealing slowly while in college so as to support my siblings since i am the first born in a family of six and we have been brought up by my mom only. Through my business i have been able to support my siblings financially for their school fees and upkeep, thus i have been able to train them on the business.
I will be able to pay the loan offered to me from my design business.
My Business
I design creatively inspiring visuals for graphic design. I work from home and sometimes i am forced to go to the cyber cafe in town to use their facilities. and I produce quality thus I always get referrals. The design work rewards me with $ 250 monthly which i use for home improvement and part of the money i use for upkeep and food. I also support my siblings and above all, i pay a tenth of it as tithe to my local church.
I realized I get so much work sometimes that it is overwhelming that I have to outsource from designers with facilities to do it.
At the moment, I am mentoring my two siblings who have finished their O Levels and they have positive attitude towards graphic design.
I really enjoy doing graphics and since I have trained and mentored my brothers , I am sure my sales will tremendously increase thus I will be able to service the loan.
With the loan, I will buy more equipments i.e
A laptop worth $ 150 which i can use to design more work as it is portable and it aint as a desktop when there is no power it will mean that i will not be able to deliver the artworks on time.

Purpose of this proposal is to request for a loan of $1690 which I need the money to provide me with funding for expanding my current business.
I am a sole proprietor operating under a business name Ceciliah Bhoke ( Id no. 27614609).
That has strived in its five years of operation. However, most of our business is limted to take out due to lack of table space, more MPSA FLOAT for the Mpesa, additional stock, Since opening in April of 2012, I have consistently increased revenues & expanded clientele.
This success is due to the quality of products and location since these factors will contribute positively to other business, I anticipate the success to continue. In addition, the added convenience of money transfer services will help increase business profits.
All this will be done at the current shop since Bkad Centre is a Branding / Stationery and printing shop located in Makadara Constituency Burubur Phase IV just opposite BIFA College and Nairobi CBD Area along KCB Bank River Road Branch.
Very soon one of the storefront next door to our current location will be free and available in three months time.
My primary focus is service and delivery and the ability to keep fast moving items in stock.
Also being in business for five years I have vast experience in the business and I know exactly what the clients need.
Few customers take discounts, our average customers is a small / medium sized retailer.
Some of our customers includes :- Parastatals, Learning Institutions eg Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts and many more.
Proposed Budget of expense we oversee in regards to the expansion.

I will pay back the loan monthly from my continuing net profits, also from liquidation of inventory and receivables.
The advertising and distribution costs has been low since most advertising is at the retail level and by word of mouth.
The total number of employees as of date of application is Nine. Four Females and Five male.
Our main source of supply includes:- Text Book Centre, Lino Staioners, Laxima Bookshop, Ngariama Stationers.
