My name is Daniel Okuma Odhiambo, 29 years old and married with one son.
I am a resident of Jawatho village in Njoro of Nakuru county. I am a second born in a family of six.
I am a graduate of Bachelor of Agribusiness from Egerton University but is yet get a formal employment.
To keep me busy and make good use of my skills, I help manage the family farm. I also have my poultry business to pay my bills.
I love sports and I play an watch whenever i am free.
l am a part time farmer and specialize in paultry farming. We have a family farm in Jawatho village in Njoro. I chose poultry farming because i have skills and is also very profitable. I rear mostly indegenous breeds- which have a good demand in the area.
I sell both eggs and chicks and my customers are often hotel owners and local residents.
I have plans to expand my business by buying more chicks and reaching out for more clients.
With increasing demand for indeginous chicks and eggs, I would like to expand the size of my brood by purchasing more chicks from the neighbourhood.
I have just completed the expansion of the poultry house and I am targetting 25 more chicks.
I will therefore use the $100 loan on purchasing the new chicks and feeds to start with.
- $70 on 25 indegenous chicks and the remainign $20 to add on feeds.
Improving the number of chicks will improve profits both from sale of mature chicks and eggs.
The current cash flow will help me repay the loan with ease.
Thank you.
