About Me

I never knew being a single mum was such a challenge until i lost my job in january 2014. After applying to several jobs and attending various interviews without success, i decided to start my own business since am a trained caterer. i borrowed materials needed from a shop and made samosas that i sold to Daystar university students staying next to my place. The reception was superb and i must say students loved my samosas. I've never looked back since. I'm glad my best hobby is cooking so i sure enjoy what i do.

My Business

Since my samosa business had never disappointed me, i decided to expand the business a bit and add beef and pork sausages to the list of snacks that i made. The competition favoured me since i was the only one who sold door to door so i sold the most as compared to the rest who sold in small restaurants. Students love snacks so i was sure the business would do well and i will be able to repay the loan as agreed from the profits made weekly. I used the profits to buy more tools for use in the business and saved the rest, so repayment was not such a burden. Starting 2015, i expanded to a small restaurant serving all kinds of food and drinks and even changed location of the business to my home area. The business is doing good though i needed to add other equipment to add efficiency. So when i got my past loans, i bought more equipment and also managed to buy seats and tables since my customers had to sit somewhere to enjoy their meals. I must say the business is doing well and i am happy with the progress.

Loan Proposal

I would have loved to add more equipment to my restaurant business but since a whole 10,000 KES will be deducted from my 17,051 KES loan and i will only remain with 7,000 KES, i will only buy one equipment which is a food processor. The food processor will be of great help to my business since it will eliminate manual food processing therefore save time in the restaurant and create convenience.
