About Me

Am Collins Matengo a third born child in a family of four: two boys and two girls, i have been hardworking since my childhood because i remember very very well my dad passed on when i was a little child, so had to be aggressive so as to be relevant in the current world. This made me start small business of selling paraffin which was very booming. The land where i come from is unique in the sense that it is near the lake and the drainage system is poor so it gets flooded when it rains a lot. Am married but i haven't gotten children yet but when God will bless with children i would want to give them the best education so that they may pursue courses of their heart desires. Am a footballer and i play football for my estate club to date.

My Business

Am a business man who sells paraffin to final consumers, paraffin is very useful and its demand is very high since it is an energy used for cooking and lighting, i choose paraffin because it is a fast moving good which has high demand, transport, rent, electricity, water, okay i use my proceeds for our siblings up keep and school fee, for home improvement since mum is is jobless.

Loan Proposal

I will increase my capital base , this will intern increase my profit margin hence our life style and the my business shall change drastically, i will endure that all our siblings school fees is paid in time. my profit margin will also increase by double digit since the business is high in demand

I have been having domestic problem where my mum has been hospitalized and i had to foot her hospital bills since she does not have National hospital insurance cover. The business was doing good but was cut short by my mums condition . So kindly hear my plea thanks

Do you have a facility for storing paraffin oil or are you storing in plastic or metal 20 litre containers? How are you currently transporting this product? Do you have appropriate license to store and handle this material on your premises? Do you have small business insurance? What is your projected margin?

This isn't meant to be harsh or critical. I'm trying to help you think this venture out so you have the best potential for success. Having at least considered these points would give an investor confidence.

Thanks again Mr. Dennis, i have a shop where i a store paraffin in 20 litre containers, i hire a motor bike that does many trips hence very expensive i would have wished to have my own source of transport may be a bicycle which i can use my self or hire somebody to assist me. I haven't registered the business yet but i normally pay the tax collectors(county government ) on a daily basis. Okay when my loan is funded i would get a second hand bike which is still in good condition for my transport services and the remaining amount i will put on stock, the profit margin will increase by quarter since the energy regulatory board has also reduced the prices of paraffin oil, Diesel and petrol oil. Thank you so much and God bless

Could you tell me more about your business plan and risks?

Thank You Mr. Dennis, Okay my main plain is to improve my capital base so that i may put up more stock, since paraffin is one of the most consumable energy in my locality, so putting up more stock will help both the business and my family. The risks involved is security, poor infrastructure that makes transport very difficult.
